Boost your public health outcomes through science
MMiPH
helps clients conduct cutting-edge research and innovation in the fields of public health and medicine
We are an institute that conducts innovative and impactful research and innovation services to public health partners, clients, and donors.
We have a team of experienced and qualified researchers and innovators who have extensive expertise and experience in diverse areas.
We use state-of-the-art methods and technologies to conduct and disseminate innovative and impactful research in public health.
Our research and innovation covers the following areas:
Infectious Disease Epidemiology: We study the causes, transmission, prevention, and control of infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, tuberculosis, malaria, HIV/AIDS and neglected tropical diseases, etc. We apply advanced techniques, such as molecular epidemiology, phylogenetics, and mathematical modelling, to understand the transmission dynamics, risk factors, and intervention effects of infectious diseases.
Non-Communicable Diseases: We investigate the risk factors, burden, and interventions for chronic diseases, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and mental health disorders, etc. We use comprehensive approaches, such as life-course epidemiology, multi-morbidity, and health systems, to address the determinants, outcomes, and policies of non-communicable diseases.
Reproductive Health: We research the determinants and outcomes of reproductive health issues, such as family planning, maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive rights, and gender-based violence. We use holistic frameworks, such as human rights, gender, and equity, to improve the access, quality, and utilization of reproductive health services.
Public Health Surveillance: We design and implement systems and methods for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating data on health events and indicators, such as disease outbreaks, mortality, and health behaviours. We use innovative methods, such as real-time data, mobile technologies, and cloud computing, to enhance the timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of public health surveillance data.
Spatio-temporal Epidemiology: We apply geospatial and temporal techniques to understand the spatial and temporal patterns and dynamics of health phenomena, such as disease clusters, environmental exposures, and trends. We use sophisticated tools, such as geographic information systems, spatial statistics, and remote sensing, to integrate and interpret spatial and temporal data from various sources.
Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Health Programs: We evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of public health programs and policies, using rigorous and innovative methods, such as randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental designs, and mixed methods. We use rigorous methods, such as impact evaluation, cost-effectiveness analysis, and mixed methods, to measure and help improve the performance, efficiency, and sustainability of public health programs.
Exposure Risk Assessment: We assess the health risks associated with exposure to environmental and occupational hazards, such as air pollution, chemicals, radiation, and noise. We use robust methods, such as exposure modelling, biomonitoring, and risk characterization, to estimate and help reduce the health effects and economic costs of exposure and risk.
Digital Health and Transformation: We leverage the potential of digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence, big data, mobile health, and telemedicine, to improve health care delivery and outcomes. We use user-centred design, behaviour change, and social marketing principles, to create and test digital health solutions that are tailored to the needs and preferences of the target populations and stakeholders.
