Dr. Ernest Konadu Asiedu (MD)
Dr. Ernest Konadu Asiedu is currently the Analyst, Health and Pandemics at the National Centre for Coordination of Early Warning and Response Mechanisms (NCCRM) representing the Ministry of Health since August 2021. His responsibilities include collecting, collating, assessing, warning, and evaluating responses relating to health and pandemic, risks/vulnerabilities that impact human, national and sub-regional security.
He is also an adjunct lecturer, at Pentecost University, Ghana where he teaches and supervise master’s level students in Quality Management in Health.
As the immediate past Head of the Quality Management Unit at the Ministry of Health (MoH), he led the coordination of the implementation of the National Healthcare Quality Strategy (NHQS) within the MoH and across the Agencies of the MoH. He co-chaired the WHO Quality of Care/Quality Equity and Dignity Network and coordinated the COVID-19 preparedness and response of inbound travellers into Ghana.
He is a registered medical practitioner, a graduate of the Advanced Programme of the Ghana Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Programme and a Member of the Ghana College of Physicians (Public Health-Health Policy option).
He is a patient and family advocate, supporting the demand for quality and safety and partnership between providers and consumers of health and healthcare.
