Ernest Akyereko

Ernest Akyereko is a field epidemiologist with excellent expertise spatial epidemiology, public health surveillance, public health emergency response, data analysis and modeling, monitoring and evaluation and the use of digital tools for public health surveillance.

He holds an MPhil in Applied Epidemiology and Disease Control (FELTP), an MSc. in Geoinformation Science and an alumnus of the Ghana Field Epidemiology Training Program.

He is currently a Ph.D. researcher in Applied Spatial Statistics and Epidemiology at the University of Twente, Netherlands modelling the spatial and temporal dynamics of COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana to develop an early warning system that will be adaptive to future pandemics.

He is highly skillful in the use of statistical software and platforms such as R, Power BI, Open Data Kit (ODK) based systems such as KoboCollect, etc., SPSS, Microsoft Excel, Stata, Quantum GIS, ArcGIS, and ENVI for data management.
