Dennis Ocansey
Dennis Ocansey is a Pharmacist, an Epidemiologist and Public health leadership expert with both MPH degree and MBA degree. Through his professional career in frontline and managerial levels in the Ministry of Health (MOH) over the past 21 years, he has acquired rich public health management experience and deep understanding of health systems especially in Low- and middle-income countries.
He has worked at the national level of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and Ministry of Health (MOH) Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) control program, as the Program Manager and led key initiatives including development of policy, strategic plans, and guidelines to improve access to care in the Country. He mentors and works as a part-time Lecturer at the University of Ghana School of Public Health for the Ghana Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program GFELTP).
He also possesses multi-country experience through work with various bilateral organizations such as ICAP/US Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (US-CDC) in Sierra Leone as well as e-Health Africa/ US-CDC as Technical advisor on public health workforce development projects.
