Dr. Prize McApreko earned M.Phil and Ph.D. (Cum Laude) degrees in International Studies in Peace, Conflict and Development under the distinguished auspices of the UNESCO Chair of Philosophy for Peace, Universitat Jaume I, Castellon, Spain. He is recipient of the University’s prestigious Peace Programme Ambassador Extra-ordinary award (2016). He is an alumnus of the “Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies programme”, on “Senior University Management Training for Academics”.

Dr. McApreko has over 22 years of tertiary teaching experience and served on several influential Boards including the Governing Council of Takoradi Technical University. In his capacity as founding Dean at the Centre for Languages and Liberal Studies, he successfully introduced Mandarin Chinese as a liberal course. He also presided over the French / English inter-cultural Immersion and Linguistic Exchange programme between Takoradi Technical University and the Institut National Polytechnique Felix Houphouet-Boigny (INP-HB), Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast.

He served as Course Manager for the flagship Post Graduate M.A. Programme: “Managing Peace and Security in Africa” at the Institute for Peace and Security Studies, Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. He also served as pioneer Director of Amnesty International – Ghana, and is currently a Research Fellow of the Youth Bridge Foundation: an international not-for-profit organisation with footprints in over 22 countries in Africa. Dr. Prize McApreko communicates effectively in English, French and Spanish.
